THE SPELLMAN SPEED SYSTEM
01
ACCELERATION
This is what creates real separation on the field/court. Dominated by the horizontal force an athlete produces into the ground, this is the most significant change in velocity throughout the entire sprint.
02
VELOCITY
When we talk about maximzing top-end speed we're referring to peak velocity. This is largely dependent on the amount of vertical force being produced into the ground and maintaining fast contact times.
03
DECELERATION
Bridging the gap between speed and control. This is where you learn to manage your speed and transform your agility, athleticism, and explosiveness.
BRIDGING THE GAP
THE NEXT LEVEL OF SPEED DEVELOPMENT
What separates an elite athlete from the average player is the same thing that separates a sports car from a regular car -- an emphasis on dynamic performance. Like excellent handling in sports cars, deceleration ability allows athletes to take complete control of their top speed and acceleration to unlock their performance potential.

WHAT ARE COACHES SAYING?
LES SPELLMAN
Speed Expert & Founder of
Spellman Performance
"Jay P was the missing piece in Spellman Performance. With his expertise, we've been able to implement a state of the art deceleration program with our athletes"
JOEY GUARASCIO
Strength & Conditioning Coach
"Speed of movement is king including how fast you can stop. Training the brakes gives athletes the ability to fulfill their full potential. This course provides you with the blueprint you need to implement with your team."
Tevin Allen aka Goldfeet
Athletic Movement Specialists
"On offense you have to create separation. On defense you have to close space. If you don't know how to brake, you will have trouble maximizing these opportunities. The Deceleration Blueprint will build your confidence to teach this"
Ryan Grubbs
Applied Biomechanics Coordinator for the Houston Texas
"We all know speed is important, but in order for it to translate to the field, an athlete needs to know how to stop and reaccelerate. Jay P and Les show you how to teach this to your athletes"
Kyle Sammons
Applied Sports Scientist at Strive
"When building resilient athletes, deceleration is an athletic and neuromuscular quality that needs to be trained! This course gives you the tools to achieve that in a systemic manner"
